Recruitment Initiatives

Sector-based Work Academies

This is an initiative delivered by Jobcentre Plus to those who are unemployed for less than nine months/a year depending on age, who are offered pre-employment training, work experience and have a guaranteed interview for paid employment.

Although Jobcentre Plus can no longer fund or commission the pre-employment training themselves, they will refer people onto the courses being delivered by colleges and training providers using Skills Funding Agency money. Contact your local JobCentre Plus for more information.
